Introduction

OnTheButton replaces traditional paper based systems often employed in schools. Users interact with their data via a web browser. This means the software is not dependant on a particular operating system and operates with Windows, Macintosh or Linux clients (you can even use wireless PDAs or netbooks).

Users are empowered to use the flexible nature of the software to tailor the system to their own requirements.

OnTheButton consists of core and optional modules, described here:

The core system provides many permanent base facilities which are always available, including pupil photos and text messaging.

The customisation features are described briefly later.  Every OTB server contains comprehensive documentation in a variety of formats, including manuals, presentations & movies, to support users and provide quality reference material.
