Spelling

The spellchecker module is bundled together with the WYSIWYG module, ie they are available together.  However they can be activated independently.   This module provides the spellchecker facility throughout OnTheButton.    The screen shows (in green) the notes section from a typical referral screen together with the additional button to check the spelling.  Access the spellchecker using the “ABC” icon

The dictionary supplied with OnTheButton contains approximately 100,000 words.  However, as with all dictionaries, there will be specialist terms, names, eg of people or places, which are not included in the supplied dictionary. These words can be added to the vocabulary in your OnTheButton system, by any user with appropriate privileges.

For convenience this user(s) can be provided with a regular list of words which users, in your school, have found missing from the dictionary and which should be considered for inclusion in the dictionary.

Words, once submitted, for inclusion in the dictionary, are added overnight and are included in all future spellcheck operations.
