Access to the OTB system requires an individual user ID and password. OTB logs all access to the system, including IP address with the date and time recorded.

OTB is provided with 3 built-in roles:

  • Administrator
  • Software maintenance
  • Teacher

 

Schools can create additional roles as required to provide the level of granularity required.  Typically a school would define a number of additional “roles”, eg Admin Staff, Teacher, Head of Department, Head of House, Pastoral, etc 

Appropriate privileges can be allocated to different roles. This ensures that users have access to the information their job requires and access to sensitive information is restricted.
